Gerard graduated as a dental surgeon from the University of Otago in 1984. After working for one year as a House Surgeon at Christchurch Hospital, he returned to the School of Dentistry in Dunedin to undertake a postgraduate course in restorative dentistry.
In 1987 Gerard started working at the long-established Green Island Dental Centre and in 1993 he purchased the practice. Gerard is very enthusiastic and passionate about dentistry and is able to provide the full range of dental services for the entire family.
Although Gerard enjoys all facets of dentistry, he has a special interest in the more complex area of cosmetic and restorative rehabilitation.
Siobhan is a qualified Oral Health Therapist with a deep commitment to patient education and empowerment. After working as a dental assistant for 14 years, she was inspired to take the next step in her career—graduating in 2024 to become an Oral Health Therapist. Her passion lies in helping people develop the knowledge and confidence to maintain positive oral hygiene habits for life. A Dunedin local, Siobhan values the opportunity to make a real difference in her own community. She enjoys building trust with patients and supporting them on their journey toward better oral health.
Outside of work, Siobhan enjoys spending time with her young son, who keeps life fun, busy, and full of energy.
